CAROL LUNDWALL, CMHC
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and trauma survivors. I have worked extensively with sexual abuse and currently facilitate a trauma group for young adults. I am experienced in treating depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, emotional regulation, self-esteem & self-worth, adjustment issues, child/teen issues, transitions to adulthood and grief/loss.
I am passionate about working with children and teens and strengthening the family unit. My style of therapy is strengths based and trauma informed. I incorporate creative arts, play and narrative therapy to help clients find their voice and make sense of their world. I approach therapy with compassion and humor. My office is a nurturing and supportive environment where clients of any age can process feelings, learn coping skills, and find confidence to overcome life challenges and become their best self. I care a lot about my clients and love the work I do.
I have 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Utah. Shortly after, I received my Social Service Worker (SSW) license and spent over 10 years advocating for and working in the best interest of children. I received my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. In 2019, I co-founded Oak Lane Counseling in partnership with Patricia Benn. In my free time I love traveling, sports, game nights, the perfect taco and spending time with loved ones.
